Bad Banks, a thriller series set in the ruthless world of international finance and the stock market, has been picked up by Hulu to stream in the U.S.

The series is produced by Letterbox Filmproduktion (Germany) and Iris Production (Luxembourg) with the participation of ZDF and ARTE. Federation Entertainment licensed the European drama to Hulu, where season one is now available. Bad Banks has also been sold to Kino Lorber for home entertainment rights in the U.S. and Canada.

In Europe, the series has been acquired by RTL Luxembourg and by NPO in the Netherlands. This follows on sales to HBO Europe for all territories in Central Europe and Scandinavia, RTÉ in Ireland, Sundance TV Iberia in Spain and Portugal and RTP in Portugal, as well as SBS in Australia and Rialto in New Zealand.

A second season of six new episodes is currently in preproduction following the series’ broadcast on ZDF and ARTE France in March.
