Filming to Begin on Season Two of Netflix’s Luis Miguel, The Series

Next month, filming will begin on the second season of the Netflix original Luis Miguel, The Series, with Diego Boneta reprising his role as the famous singer in different stages of his life and career.

“After the series’ success, the new season will be available on Netflix globally in 2020,” said Rodrigo Mazón, VP of content acquisition for Latin America and Spain at Netflix. “Diego Boneta returns in the iconic role of Luis Miguel, this time in two different timelines.”

The story will explore the difficulties that the singer faced while balancing his personal and professional life. The series also stars Camila Sodi, César Bordón, Juan Pablo Zurita, Cesar Santana, Martín Bello, Lola Casamayor, Pilar Santacruz, Kevin Holt and Gabriel Nuncio, among others.

Humberto Hinojosa and Natalia Beristain will direct, with a script led by Daniel Krauze with Ana Sofia Clerici, Anton Goenechea, Diego Ayala, Karin Valecillos and Paulina Barros. Luis Miguel, The Series is an MGM Television and Gato Grande production.
