Fantasy-Adventure Series The Outpost Heads to SYFY

NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) has acquired The Outpost, a fantasy/adventure series from the creators of Stargate and Stargate SG-1, to air on SYFY outside the U.S.

The ten-episode series is headed to SYFY channels in the U.K., France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Latin America, Poland, the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa and Australia from late 2018. It stars Jessica Green (Roman Empire, Ash vs Evil Dead) as a strong female hero and the lone survivor of a race called “Blackbloods.”

The series is executive produced by Dean Devlin, co-writer and producer of the 1994 feature Stargate, and Jonathan Glassner, the showrunner/executive producer of Stargate SG-1. Also serving as EPs are Electric Entertainment’s team of Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson and Arrowstorm Entertainment’s team of Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin, who are behind the cult favorite Mythica films. Jennifer Griffin of Arrowstorm Entertainment is also producing. The show was created by Kynan Griffin and Jason Faller.
