Endor Productions Makes Key Promotion as Founder Steps Back

Endor Productions has promoted Carlo Dusi to managing director as founder Hilary Bevan Jones moves to dedicate time to more hands-on producing.

As managing director, Dusi, who joined the company as executive producer and strategy director in 2021 from Red Arrow Studios International, will drive the continued expansion of Endor’s slate and focus on talent packaging, financing and production.

Dusi’s past credits include BAFTA Award-winning Taboo, Chris Smith’s Get Santa, Sean Foley’s Mindhorn and James Kent’s The Aftermath. Most recently, he executive produced two seasons of Vienna Blood and two seasons of Departure.

Bevan Jones, who founded Endor in 1998, is currently working on Neil Gaiman’s Anansi Boys for Amazon Studios, season three of Vienna Blood and the forthcoming romantic comedy film But When We Dance. In 2006, she became the chairman of BAFTA—the first woman to hold the position. Currently, she chairs Watersprite, the Cambridge International Student Film Festival.

Endor has also promoted Ian McBain, who joined in 2015 as head of finance and commercial affairs, to director of finance and operations. He will now oversee the company’s financial management and all aspects of its operations. McBain and Dusi will jointly drive business strategy.

Previously, McBain worked as a financial controller at Twenty Twenty Productions (Shed/Warner Bros. TV) and Left Bank Pictures (Sony Pictures Television). His past credits include First Dates, Garrow’s Law, World’s Strictest Parents, Gareth Malone’s Choir, Strike Back, Outlander, Wallander, DCI Banks and The Crown.

Dusi commented, “I could not be more thrilled to take on the MD role at Endor and continue to work with the wonderful Endor family in building upon the legacy that Hilary has created through her incredible slate of projects. As a company, we have never been busier and, with the projects I brought into Endor from my time at Red Arrow Studios International now forming part of the overall slate, our pipeline has never looked more exciting—so we are in for a fantastic ride over the coming months.”

McBain added, “I am so excited to be given the opportunity to help Endor keep growing in the years to come! We have built such a solid base with an amazing team of people, and we can really utilize this as a platform for continued success. None of this would have been possible without Hilary, but we are lucky that Hilary will be continuing to partner with Endor, while Carlo, our brilliant new leader, takes the reins of the company moving forward—this is a win-win all round!”

“I am delighted to be continuing my partnership with Endor on projects I have developed with the team that are close to my heart,” said Bevan Jones. “The company hosts a very talented team of people, all of whom I value immensely. With Carlo and Ian leading them into 2022 and beyond, I have no doubt that there will be a positive and dynamic future ahead.”
