Crime Drama Starring Eddie Izzard Set for Spike UK

LONDON: Spike UK has slated a new police drama, Powers, starring Eddie Izzard and based on a graphic novel of the same name.

From the team behind The Walking Dead, Powers follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker (played by Sharlto Copley of District 9 and Maleficent) and Deena Pilgrim (played by Susan Heyward of 666 Park Avenue and 30 Rock). Izzard (Valkyrie, Oceans Thirteen, Oceans Twelve, Hannibal) plays the villain Wolfe.

Powers is executive produced by the team behind Caprica (the prequel to Battlestar Galactica) and iconic comics such as Marvel’s Ultimate series, Daredevil and Judge Dredd.
