Eccho Rights Picks Up Turkish Drama Black Heart

STOCKHOLM: Eccho Rights has added the Turkish series Black Heart to its drama catalogue.

Produced by Aka Film, Black Heart tells the story of a brother seeking justice for the cold-blooded murder of his journalist sister, who discovered evidence exposing a powerful media tycoon as a corrupt gangster. To get his revenge, the brother exploits an orphaned girl who needs his help to save her dying sister. Eccho Rights will present the title at MIPTV.

“Black Heart caught our attention with its clever script and story of how the hunters become hunted,” said Handan Özkubat, the head of Eccho Rights’ Istanbul office. “It’s a great title that we’re pleased to bring to this year’s MIPTV.”

“We have created a modern mix on the traditional crime story with tales of family ties and passionate love woven into the narrative,” said Ali Gündoğdu and Asena Bülbloglu, producers at Aka Film. “It is sure to affect the viewers and create a new area in Turkish drama.
