Dynamic Television Developing Spy Series for NBC

Dynamic Television has secured a pilot script deal for an hour-long action drama series it’s developing for NBC.

Cipher is written and executive produced by Alanna Thompson, with Philip Levens on board to showrun and executive produce. The series centers on a secret intelligence agency called Red Division that enlists the help of a dysfunctional ex-con to stop an imminent global threat brought on by her sister’s horrific act of treason.

Dynamic Television will serve as the studio. Daniel March and Holly Hines of Dynamic will also serve as executive producers.

“Cipher really captivated us and we wanted to make certain the show found the right home,” said Hines, the senior VP of original content for Dynamic. “We’re thrilled to be working with NBC. Their long-standing commitment to smart and original drama series was a natural fit for us.”
