Dismissed to Stream Internationally on IZZY

IZZY—Stream Israel has slated the international streaming premiere of Dismissed (Hamefakedet) for September 19.

The two-season series, created by Nir Berger and Atara Frish, follows a young, socially awkward officer in the Israeli army. Despite being deemed unfit to command, unusual circumstances result in her being assigned a platoon to lead—a platoon of notoriously unruly young women.

Dismissed won best comedy drama at the Israeli Television Academy Awards in 2021 and 2022 and Alona Sa’ar, who stars as the lead character, was awards best access in a comedy drama.

Additional cast members include Noa Astanjelove, Carmel Bin, Gal Malka, Dor Harari and Maya Landsman.

The show’s two seasons will stream on IZZY with subtitles in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Dismissed has a total of three seasons, with the third (and final) season premiering in Israel this week.
