CTV Orders Original Serialized Mystery Drama in 4K

TORONTO: Canada’s CTV has greenlit a new original serialized drama, The Disappearance, which will be produced in 4K.

Production on the six-part event series is set for fall. The show, which is being produced by Productions Casablanca, follows the mysterious disappearance of 10-year-old Anthony Wilson, who vanishes on his birthday during a treasure hunt. It marks the second original serialized drama for CTV, following Cardinal, which wraps production this month.

“The Disappearance is a compelling event series that will send CTV viewers on an emotional and intense journey,” said Mike Cosentino, the senior VP of programming at CTV Networks and CraveTV. “Marking a new milestone as one of Bell Media’s original productions to be shot in 4K, we look forward to bringing the world of The Disappearance to life with Productions Casablanca.”

“The Disappearance is the first English project for Productions Casablanca and we are thrilled and proud to produce this television series in association with CTV and Bell Media,” added Joanne Forgues, producer at Productions Casablanca.
