Connie Britton to Star in Bravo’s Dirty John Anthology

Connie Britton (9-1-1, Friday Night Lights, Nashville) has signed on to star in the first season of Bravo Media’s scripted anthology series Dirty John, based on the articles and true-crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard.

The series tells the true story of how a romance with the charismatic John Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation. Britton will star as Debra Newell, a successful interior designer and single mom from Orange County who falls in love with Meehan. Britton will also serve as an executive producer.

Dirty John has received a two-season, straight-to-series order from Bravo Media. Produced by Universal Cable Productions, in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, the series will be executive produced and written by Alexandra Cunningham (Chance, Desperate Housewives).
