Cineflix Rights Picks Up Thriller In Memoriam

Cineflix Rights has picked up the worldwide distribution rights for the upcoming Crave psychological thriller In Memoriam.

The French-language series follows four siblings who cut off contact with their wealthy, manipulative father, blaming him for their mother’s suicide when they were children. When he dies, they are all invited to the reading of his will, where they find out they will not be inheriting a single cent of his fortune—unless they win a series of challenges against their siblings.

In Memoriam is produced by PassezGo (Chouchou, De Pierre en fille, Lou et Sophie, Pour toujours plus un jour, Le Chalet) and Bell Media in association with C3 Media (So Long, Marianne, Sugar, Kings of Coke) for Crave. It is written by Pierre-Marc Drouin (Doute raisonnable) and Pascale Renaud-Hébert (M’entends-tu) and is directed by Marie-Claude Blouin (Chouchou, De Pierre en fille, Le Chalet) and Félix Tétreault (Chouchou, Lou et Sophie).

In Memoriam is a gripping psychological thriller, unpicking complex and deep-rooted family dynamics with an increasingly sinister competition that forces rival siblings to battle each other to inherit untold wealth,” said James Durie, head of scripted at Cineflix Rights. “In doing so, the series hits a lot of the content beats global buyers are looking for, echoing similar themes explored in some of the biggest drama hits of the past few years.”

Felix Tetreault, executive producer at Passez-Go, added, “Cineflix Rights has a great track record of turning international dramas into global hits. We are thrilled to be partnering with them on In Memoriam.”
