Cineflix Rights Launches MIPCOM Scripted Slate

Cineflix Rights has unveiled this year’s MIPCOM scripted slate, featuring new and returning titles.

The gothic thriller The Doll Factory, starring Esmé Creed-Miles, Éanna Hardwicke and George Webster, is on offer. A story of love, art and freedom, the series explores what happens when a woman dares to take what she wants in a world that would rather kill her than let her have it.

Additional featured titles include Men Up, telling the story behind the development of Viagra, and Late Bloomer, a comedy series that follows Jasmeet, a turban-wearing millennial struggling to find his place in life while balancing Eastern roots with Western ideals.

Late Bloomer’s quirky take on millennial lives fits the bill for buyers everywhere looking for a series with diverse characters and storylines that appeal to younger viewers,” said James Durie, head of scripted.

Abducted: The Carlesha Gaither Story is also on the slate, chronicling the abduction of a Philadelphia nurse’s aide at the hands of a homicidal predator and how she battled to survive.

Returning series include Last King of the Cross, Reginald the Vampire and Irvine Welsh’s Crime. The Icelandic political thriller The Minister also returns, alongside the thriller Manayek and the crime comedy Happily Married.

Tim Mutimer, CEO of rights for Cineflix Media, said: “Our MIPCOM scripted slate showcases suspense, comedy and true-crime, striking a chord with diverse audiences worldwide, appealing to the Gen Z demographic and beyond—all from pedigree creative teams responsible for multiple, award-winning, globally successful shows. They join returning seasons of some of our favorite acclaimed hit shows featuring top talent in Cineflix’s largest MIPCOM drama offering ever.”

“Our growing scripted slate includes multiple returning seasons of critically acclaimed, award-winning standout dramas from English-language and international producers,” Durie concured.
