CBS Orders The Gates to Series

CBS has given a series order for the new daytime drama The Gates, which will follow the lives of a wealthy Black family in a posh community.

The Gates is set to debut in January of 2025, though more series details are yet to come. Daytime drama veteran Michele Val Jean (The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital) will serve as writer and showrunner.

The title is developed from a joint venture between CBS Studios and the NAACP and will be produced by the partnership alongside P&G Studios, a division of Procter & Gamble.

The CBS Studios production venture and development deal with the NAACP was established to help elevate a diverse range of voices and increase the visibility of Black artists on broadcast and streaming platforms.
