CBS Gives Full Season Orders for Three Series

CBS has greenlit full seasons of its three most-watched new series, including Fire Country.

The series, inspired by star Max Thieriot’s experience growing up in Northern California, is the 2022-23 season’s number one series, averaging 8.26 million viewers. It originally debuted on October 7 on CBS.

In addition to Thieriot, the cast includes Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway and Jules Latimer. Executive producers are Thieriot, Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Tia Napolitano, Dave Grae (pilot only), James Strong (pilot only), Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman (pilot only) and KristieAnne Reed.

The police procedural East New York, produced by Warner Bros. Television, also received a full-season renewal. It stars Amanda Warren, Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Richard Kind, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Olivia Luccardi and Lavel Schley. Executive producers are William Finkelstein, Mike Flynn, Michael M. Robin, Christine Holder and Mark Holder.

East New York is the number two series on any network, and Sunday’s number one new program with 7.37 million viewers.

CBS also ordered a full season of the crime drama So Help Me Todd, the number three new series on any network and Thursday’s number one series. It stars Marcia Gay Harden, Skylar Astin, Madeline Wise, Tristen J. Winger, Inga Schlingmann and Rosa Evangelina Arredondo. Executive producers are Scott Prendergast, Liz Kruger, Craig Shapiro (pilot only), Elizabeth J.B. Klaviter, Amy York Rubin (pilot only), Michael Spiller, Dr. Phil McGraw, Jay McGraw and Julia Eisenman.
