Cameras Roll on Season Two of The Durrells

LONDON: Filming has begun in Corfu on the second season of the ITV family drama The Durrells.

The 6×1-hour second season will see Keeley Hawes reprise her role as Louisa Durrell. Josh O’Connor returns as Larry, joined by Callum Woodhouse as Leslie, Daisy Waterstone as Margo and Milo Parker as Gerry. Daniel Lapaine will join the cast as Hugh Jarvis, an English gentleman who sets his sights on Louisa.

The first season of The Durrells achieved a peak audience of 8.2 million viewers/a 33-percent share of viewing and averaged 6.9 million viewers across its run, making it ITV’s highest rating new drama series of 2016. The show is produced by Sid Gentle Films.

ITV’s controller of drama, Victoria Fea, said, “We loved The Durrells from the moment the idea was pitched to us and it became even more magical when it was brought to screen. It was a very easy decision to commission a second series of this warm and enchanting drama.”
