Calinos Entertainment will be presenting the new dramas Farah and Twisted Lives as part of its MIPTV slate.

Farah, the Turkish adaptation of the Argentinean series La chica que limpia (The Cleaning Lady), follows an Iranian woman who runs away from her country to Istanbul, where she works as a cleaning lady to afford her son’s medical treatment. She ends up getting caught in the middle of a mafia-police war.

Farah stars Engin Akyurek, Demet Ozdemir, Firat Tanis, Senan Kara, Lale Basar, Oktay Cubuk, Mustafa Avkiran and Ali Surmeli and has been a ratings success on Wednesday nights on FOX in Turkey. It is produced by O3 Medya.

Twisted Lives, another O3 Medya production, tells the story of two best friends who become each other’s worst enemies while protecting their own children. “It is shot in Bodrum, one of the most beautiful coastal towns of Turkey, with a great cast,” says Asli Serim, head of international sales.

The cast includes Sevket Coruh, Timucin Esen, Genco Ozak, Sezin Akbasogulları, Serhat Kilic, Bahar Sahin, Esra Kizildogan and Baran Can Eraslan. The series is premiering on April 11 on FOX in Turkey.

Also being presented at MIPTV is Canada’s Indefensible (Indéfendable), a crime drama that brings the audience into the world of Cabinet Lapointe-Macdonald and its criminal defense team. Produced by Pixcom in collaboration with Quebecor Content, it has had two successful seasons on TVA.

The Calinos slate also includes Adela, the Romanian remake of That’s My Life, which has four seasons available; Forbidden Fruit; Woman; and Our Story.

“We continue to widen our catalog with dramas and movies from different countries, in addition to Turkish dramas,” Serim says.
