Broadcast Partners Lined Up for David Tennant’s Des

A raft of early deals has been secured by all3media international for the new true-crime drama Des, starring David Tennant.

New Pictures’ three-parter, which charts the story of serial killer Dennis Nilsen, has been picked up by AMC Networks’ streaming service Sundance Now for the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Sundance Now will premiere the series soon after its debut on commissioning broadcaster ITV in the U.K. later this year.

DIRECTV licensed the rights for the Latin American region. Stan scored a premiere window in Australia. TVNZ acquired rights to Des for New Zealand.

In Europe, there was a pan-territory acquisition from C More Entertainment encompassing Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Further pickups in Europe include VRT (Flemish Belgium), Siminn hf (Iceland), TV2 (Norway), Virgin Media Television (Ireland) and BritBox (U.K.). Dazzler Media has signed U.K. DVD/DTO rights.
