Blue Eyes Co-Creator Joins Dramacorp

STOCKHOLM: Dramacorp, led by former NICE Drama exec Patrick Nebout, has hired Mia Sohlman, co-creator of the SVT political thriller Blå Ögon (Blue Eyes), as executive producer.

Nebout launched Dramacorp this April as a joint venture with Beta Film’s Jan Mojto. Sohlman’s appointment marks the outfit’s first senior recruitment move. “I joined Dramacorp both because of the opportunity to be part of the start-up of a company and mostly because of the vision Patrick Nebout has for it,” Sohlman said.

“Dramacorp has the freedom and flexibility to allow creativity and funding to happen in the best way possible for the project. With limitations taken away and such a sound infrastructure in place from our backers, this is truly an exciting time to be at the forefront of creating excellent drama.”

Nebout, managing director and exec producer at Dramacorp, noted, “Mia Sohlman is one of Sweden’s most exciting up and coming producers and we share the same vision on the kind of high-concept projects Dramacorp is set to develop and produce. I’m extremely proud to have Mia join Dramacorp as we launch our first projects.”
