Blink49 Taps Pancho Mansfield as Global Scripted TV President

Blink49 Studios has tapped veteran TV producer and executive Pancho Mansfield as president of global scripted television.

Mansfield served as president of global scripted programming, television, for Entertainment One (eOne) before joining Blink49 Studios in July under a multiyear first-look executive producer deal. In his new role at Blink49, he will oversee the development and production of original scripted content across global markets.

At eOne, Mansfield oversaw all aspects of the studio’s original scripted slate on a global level and managed development and production across eOne’s territories. Notable shows produced during his tenure are A Gentleman in Moscow, Yellowjackets, Sharp Objects, The Rookie, The Rooke: Feds, Cruel Summer, The Recruit, Run and Deputy.

Prior to that, Mansfield headed his own shingle under a first-look deal with Fox TV Studios, where he set up and produced projects across multiple networks, including Queen of the South and Damien.

Earlier in his career, Mansfield served as executive VP of Spike TV, senior VP of programming at Fox TV Studios and senior VP of original programming at Showtime Networks. During that 20-year period, he was involved in the development of shows such as Queer as Folk, Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City, Hiroshima, Resurrection Blvd., Stargate SG-1 and The Outer Limits.

“We’re thrilled to officially welcome Pancho to our team in this new role,” said John Morayniss, CEO of Blink49 Studios. “Pancho brings a wealth of experience, creative vision and a proven track record for delivering quality content that resonates globally. His deep expertise and industry relationships are invaluable. With Pancho and Carolyn Newman leading our talented executive team across the U.S. and Canada, we’re well-positioned to advance our ambition of creating compelling, original programming for audiences worldwide.”

“I’m excited to expand my role at Blink49 and continue our journey in bringing ambitious, high-quality scripted content to audiences worldwide,” Mansfield said. “We have an incredible strategic opportunity to grow our roster, champion great writers and producers and take creative risks that resonate globally. I look forward to continue working with Carolyn and helping drive our vision for original programming that breaks new ground and captivates audiences everywhere.”
