Black Money Love Remake to Bow in Mexico & U.S.

The Mexican remake of Black Money Love (Kara Para Aşk), a Turkish drama distributed worldwide by Inter Medya, is set to premiere in Mexico and the U.S. later this month.

Black Money Love will make its debut on Mexico’s Las Estrellas on September 14 and on Univision in the U.S. on September 21. Further, Univision will be presenting the production in the virtual exhibition of The Paley Center for Media that will take place during the National Hispanic Heritage Month, with special appearances by Giselle González and the stars of the new series. The adaptation will be named Empire of Lies (Imperio de mentiras) and will consist of 80 episodes.

Since its premiere in Turkey, Black Money Love has been licensed to more than 170 territories worldwide by Inter Medya. Starring Engin Akyürek and Tuba Büyüküstün, the series tells the dramatic love story of Ömer, a police officer that is dying to find the truth behind the murder of his fiancée, and Elif, who is eager to learn her family’s deepest secrets.
