Ben Stiller’s Escape at Dannemora Set for World Premiere at MIPCOM

CBS Studios International will host the world premiere screening of the new Showtime limited series Escape at Dannemora, executive produced and directed by Ben Stiller, at MIPCOM.

The premiere will take place in the Palais des Festivals on Monday, October 15. Stiller (Tropic Thunder, Zoolander) is slated to attend the event in Cannes.

Escape at Dannemora is based on the stranger-than-fiction account of a prison break in upstate New York in the summer of 2015 that spawned a massive manhunt for two convicted murderers. The prisoners were aided in their escape by a married female prison employee, with whom they both became sexually entangled.

The limited series stars Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) and Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), alongside Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood) and Bonnie Hunt (Life with Bonnie). The show will premiere on Showtime at the end of the year.

Escape at Dannemora is written and executive produced by Brett Johnson (Mad Men) and Michael Tolkin (The Player). Also executive producing are Bryan Zuriff (Ray Donovan), Michael De Luca (Captain Phillips) via Michael De Luca Productions, and Nicky Weinstock for Stiller’s Red Hour Productions.
