The new distribution pact covers nine Asian markets, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Korea and Japan, plus Canada and all of the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. “The international market represents enormous potential revenue growth for BEC,” said Ariya Banomyong, president and director of BEC World. “Some of our content performs very well in markets such as the Philippines and Malaysia and we hope to enter new markets soon as part of our expanded relationship with JKN. Continuing our partnership with JKN Global Media is an important element of our strategy to bring Thai content to the international arena. JKN is Thailand’s leading global content distribution company and has already succeeded in raising the profile of BEC World’s content in key markets.”

Anne Jakrajutatip, CEO and managing director at JKN, added, “BEC World is renowned for producing high-quality content across genres. It is my hope that Thai dramas will go from strength to strength globally across all platforms. The appetite for Thai content around the world is growing and JKN welcomes the opportunity to be at the forefront of this global trend.”
