Bank Under Siege Coming in November

Netflix has slated the premiere of the limited series Bank Under Siege (Asalto al Banco Central) for November 8.

Produced by Brutal Media and based on real events from 1981, the show takes place three months after the attempted coup d’état of Spain’s Congress of Deputies. It follows as 11 hooded men enter the headquarters of Barcelona’s Central Bank and hold more than 200 people hostage, threatening to kill them if the government does not agree to free the coup leader Colonel Tejero and three others.

Bank Under Siege stars Miguel Herrán (Money Heist, Prison 77), María Pedraza (Money Heist, Elite), Hovik Keuchkerian (Money Heist, The Platform 2) and Isak Ferriz (Burning Body, Infiesto). It was directed by Daniel Calparsoro.
