Audible Orders Original Series High Strangeness

High Strangeness, an international scripted series from the Red Arrow Studios company CPL Productions, has been commissioned by Audible.

Starring Sophie McShera (Downton Abbey, Disney’s Cinderella), High Strangeness follows the whip-smart young heroine Cassie Chambers, a part-time barista and frustrated paranormal researcher. When she travels to the sleepy English countryside on the trail of a weird event, she is reluctantly thrown together with Glen Hedley (Adam James; Doctor Foster, I May Destroy You), an uptight American agent of a shady organization. The eight-episode series will premiere on Audible in both the U.S. and U.K. on October 8.

High Strangeness is written and created by BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning writer Will Maclean (Tracey Breaks the News), developed and produced by Arabella McGuigan (Brief Encounters, Hounslow Diaries) and directed by Paul Murphy (Cuckoo, Redback, Home From Home). Sound Design is by Chris Maclean (Inside No 9, Detectorists, The Thick of It). The series also stars Anna Chancellor (The Hour, Pennyworth, Mapp & Lucia), Mandeep Dhillon, Amit Shah, Kevin Eldon, Javone Prince, Nina Wadia and Niky Wardley, among others.
