ATF Spotlight: Calinos Entertainment

The dramas Our Story and Woman have been two of the most-talked-about and best-rated TV series in Turkey this season, and Calinos Entertainment is taking them out to buyers at ATF.

“One of Nippon TV’s most successful formats, Woman tells the story of Bahar, a young widow who has to endure all the hardships life puts before her alone, with only her two children by her side,” says Asli Serim Guliyev, the company’s international sales director. “On the other hand, Our Story, starring Hazal Kaya, depicts a story that everyone can relate to. We have sold The Girl Named Feriha, which also stars Kaya, to nearly 80 countries so far. Thus, we believe that each of our series will be greatly appreciated in the Asian market.”

Calinos has been attending ATF since 2009 and is looking to shore up some new partnerships after participating in this year’s event. “The Asian market is very important for us,” Guliyev explains.
