Apple TV+ Orders The Changeling Adaptation

Apple TV+ has given a series order for a TV adaptation of The Changeling, with LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Judas and the Black Messiah) starring in the lead role.

Stanfield will also executive produce The Changeling series, which is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Victor LaValle. The adaptation will be written by Kelly Marcel (Cruella, Venom, Venom 2), who will also serve as showrunner and executive producer.

The Changeling is a fairy tale for grown-ups and is a horror story, parenthood fable and perilous odyssey all in one. The series will be produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. It joins an expanding offering of Apple originals that will be produced by Apple Studios.

Melina Matsoukas (Queen & Slim, Insecure) will direct and executive produce through her De La Revolution Films. Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, Patrick Chu and Ali Krug will executive produce on behalf of Annapurna, with Khaliah Neal co-executive producing.
