Apple TV+ Greenlights Sci-Fi Series with Colin Farrell

Apple TV+ has given a series order for Sugar, a character-driven science-fiction show starring Colin Farrell (The Batman, True Detective, The Lobster), who will also executive produce.

Created by Mark Protosevich (The Cell, I Am Legend, Thor), the series is set to be directed by Academy Award nominee Fernando Meirelles (City of God, Constant Gardner, Two Popes).

Executive producers are Farrell, Protosevich, Meirelles, Simon Kinberg (X-Men films, Deadpool films, The Martian), Audrey Chon (Invasion, The Twilight Zone), Scott Greenberg (The Guilty) and Chip Vucelich. Kinberg and David Weil are writing the series.

Sugar marks the second collaboration between Kinberg’s Genre Films and Apple TV+, following their hit series Invasion.
