SEATTLE: Amazon has inked a multiyear content licensing agreement with BBC Worldwide that makes its Prime Video service the exclusive U.S. subscription streaming home for the modern incarnation of Doctor Who.

Beginning March 27, Amazon Prime subscribers can access seasons one through eight of the BBC One hit, along with all the holiday specials. Season nine, plus the most recent Christmas special, arrives on the service this fall.

Peter Capaldi currently stars as the Doctor in the iconic BBC sci-fi series. The tenth season, launching in 2017, will be the last with Steven Moffat, who took the reins from Russell T Davies. Season 11 will be helmed by Chris Chibnall.
