Amazon Orders Alex Cross Adaptation to Series

Amazon Studios has ordered to series Cross, an adaptation of James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross books, with Aldis Hodge (Black Adam, City on a Hill, One Night in Miami…) starring in the lead role.

From Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television, the series follows the titular detective and forensic psychologist as he delves into the psyches of killers to hunt them down. It will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Creator Ben Watkins serves as showrunner and executive producer. Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn and Craig Siebels also executive produce, with James Patterson, Bill Robinson and Patrick Santa executive producing for James Patterson Entertainment, and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost executive producing for Skydance Television.
