All3Media International Sends Black Snow to New Territories

All3Media International has signed a handful of new deals for Goalpost Pictures’ mystery drama Black Snow in Europe and Africa.

The whodunit stars Travis Fimmel (Vikings, Dune: Prophecy) as Detective James Cormack, who tackles two separate missing persons cases in the upcoming second season. All3Media International has sold the first season to Prime Video in Africa, Acorn Media in Spain and Spanish-speaking Andorra, blue Entertainment in German-speaking Switzerland and RTBF in French-speaking Belgium.

Following the success of the first season, the BBC signed rights for the second season as well. Sweden’s TV4 and Finland’s MTV OY also acquired season two.

Additionally, several other season one broadcasters picked up the second season: Magenta TV in Germany, CANAL+ in Austria, COSMOTE in Greece, Sýn hf in Iceland, OSN+ and OSNtv in the Middle East and TVNZ in New Zealand.

In season two, Fimmel is joined by new cast members Jana McKinnon (Bad Behaviour), Megan Smart (Class of ’07), Alana Mansour (Erotic Stories), Dan Spielman (Bad Behaviour, The Newsreader), Victoria Haralabidou (The Tourist) and Kat Stewart (Offspring).

Director Sian Davies (The Gloaming), executive producer Rosemary Blight (The Invisible Man) and series creator Lucas Taylor (Harrow) return for the second season, with Helena Brooks (Population 11) joining as a director. Season one lead actor Talijah Blackman-Corowa joins season two as director’s attachment, supported by Screen Queensland.

Black Snow is produced by Goalpost Pictures for Stan and Sundance Now. It received financial support from Screen Queensland, Screen NSW and the City of Gold Coast. Season two is set to premiere on Stan on New Year’s Day 2025. It will return to U.S. audiences on Sundance Now in 2025 as well.
