All3Media International Inks Drama Deal with BritBox

All3Media International has licensed two scripted titles to BritBox, including Fiction Factory’s Pren ar y Bryn/Tree on a Hill.

The Welsh-language crime drama, written and created by Ed Thomas (Y Gwyll/Hinterland), centers on the lives of two unlikely heroes, whose quiet existence is changed in an instant when they find themselves on the wrong side of the law.

BritBox also picked up Captivated, which comes from producer Story Films (The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe; Witness Number 3). The four-parter follows a young mother and her son, who find themselves pulled into the orbit of a wealthy businessman who harbors a dark, disturbing secret from his past. It stars Kara Tointon and Allen Leech.

The two series are set to become available on BritBox in the U.S. this year.
