NEW YORK: Skyhorse Publishing is planning to roll out two paperback novels tied to the first season of HISTORY’s upcoming military drama SIX.

The series, inspired by the lives and missions of members of the Navy’s SEAL Team Six, is premiering January 18 on HISTORY. As part of a deal between A+E Networks Brand Licensing and Skyhorse Publishing, the first of the two books, Six: Blood Brothers, will also be released in January, and the second will be pegged to the season finale. Penned by Charles Sasser, the novels will be adapted from SIX‘s original story lines.

SIX’s” compelling story lines and insights into the secretive world of SEAL Team Six translates well to novelization and is a great way to introduce and cross-promote one of HISTORY’s most highly anticipated new series,” said Jill Tully, VP of A+E Networks Brand Licensing. “Skyhorse Publishing shares our passion for storytelling and goal to create a seamless experience for readers that captures the extraordinary lives and events depicted in the series.”

“Skyhorse has a great love for exciting stories and SIX has those in spades,” said Tony Lyons, the president and publisher of Skyhorse. “We’re thrilled to partner with A+E Networks on what is sure to be a riveting series and the beginning of a beautiful relationship.”
