Filmmaker Michael Haneke Teams with UFA on First Series

Michael Haneke, best known for films such as Funny Games, Caché, The White Ribbon and Amour, is working with FremantleMedia’s UFA Fiction to create his first-ever TV series.

Kelvin’s Book is a ten-part English-language series set in a dystopian world. It will tell the story of a group of young people in a not-too-distant future who are forced to make an emergency landing on a flight and are confronted with the actual face of their home country for the first time.

Haneke said: “After 10 TV movies and 12 films, I wanted to tell a longer story for once.”
