Playground & Peter Kosminsky Working on Cyber Warfare Drama

Playground and writer/director Peter Kosminsky are in development on the new drama series The Undeclared War, set against the backdrop of cyber warfare, for Channel 4.

The producing and directing team behind the award-winning series Wolf Hall is reuniting for what will be Kosminsky’s first returning drama. Kosminsky is set to write and direct the first three episodes and the final episode of what is being planned as a ten-part returning series. The story will focus on the undeclared cyber confrontation between the key state players in a present-day Cold War.

The Undeclared War is being developed for Beth Willis at Channel 4 and will be produced by Playground. Kosminsky, Playground founder Colin Callender and Sophie Gardiner, executive creative director of Playground, are executive producers.
