Russ Buchholz to Lead Circle of Confusion Television Studios

Former Endemol Shine exec Russ Buchholz has been tapped for the newly created role of executive VP, head of creative affairs at Circle of Confusion Television Studios.

Buchholz has held the role of senior VP in charge of development at Endemol Shine Studios. He joins Circle of Confusion Television Studios effective immediately and will run the Los Angeles-based day-to-day operations of the company that will source, develop and produce premium scripted programming, with support from ITV Studios America.

Circle of Confusion partners David Alpert, David Engel, Frank Frattaroli, Lawrence Mattis and Brad Mendelsohn, and ITV Studios America President Philippe Maigret said in a joint statement: “Russ has tremendous experience and shares our excitement for building a preeminent scripted television label. He will be an incredible asset as the joint venture expands its slate of premium groundbreaking shows.”
