TLC Renews Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home

SILVER SPRING: TLC has committed to a sophomore season of the Tyler Perry drama series Too Close to Home.

Too Close to Home stars Danielle Savre as a young woman named Anna, who must confront her troubled past after an alleged affair with the president. The show, which debuted last month, marks the first scripted series for TLC. The second season is slated to begin airing on the channel next year.

Nancy Daniels, the president and general manager of TLC, said: “Our audience was ready for a move into the scripted space, and Too Close to Home has whet their appetite to see more. More twists, more heartbreak and certainly more of Tyler Perry’s notoriously dramatic writing.”
