Frankenstein Chronicles Renewed

LONDON: ITV Encore has ordered a second season of The Frankenstein Chronicles, starring Sean Bean, from Rainmark Films.

The period drama is inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic novel. Production on season two begins in Northern Ireland in January. Tracey Scoffield is executive producer and David Tanner producer. Bean is also an exec producer on the new season.

“We are thrilled to be working once more with Sean Bean in the role of John Marlott, who is a returning hero like no other,” said Scoffield. “With the continued support of ITV and Endemol Shine International we want to be more ambitious than ever with season two.”

“The Frankenstein Chronicles certainly resonated with viewers and we’re delighted to be working with Sean Bean, Tracey Scoffield and her production team for a second series,” said Victoria Fea, controller of drama at ITV.
