Netflix Picks Up Caracol Series

BOGOTÁ: Netflix has signed a licensing agreement for two in-development series from Colombia’s Caracol Televisión, including a Pablo Escobar drama.

Through the deal, the titles will be available exclusively to Netflix subscribers in Latin America, the U.S., Canada, Spain, Portugal and Andorra within the next year. Those series are Sobreviviendo a Pablo Escobar, about the leader of the notorious drug lord’s hit-men squadron, and The Girl (La Niña), which follows a child who was forcefully recruited by a Colombian guerrilla group.

Additionally, Caracol has licensed its historical drama The White Slave (La Esclava Blanca) to Netflix as part of this agreement. Caracol Internacional represents these titles.
