Outlander Prequel Finds Buyers Around the World

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has inked sales deals across EMEA, Latin America and AsiaPac for the upcoming Outlander prequel Outlander: Blood of My Blood.

In Europe, licensing deals were secured with MGM+ in the U.K.; Deutsche Telekom in Germany; Sky Italia in Italy; Movistar Plus+ in Spain; HBO Max in France, Central and Eastern Europe and Poland; Nova in Greece; Inspira+ in Estonia; Tet TV+/LMT in Latvia; and Telia Play+ in Lithuania.

Deals were also signed with Yes in Israel, beIN across the Middle East and North Africa, Disney+ in Latin America, LG Uplus in South Korea, Stan in Australia and Sky NZ in New Zealand.

The series, set to premiere on STARZ in the U.S. and Canada on August 8, goes from the battlefields of World War I to the Highlands of 18th-century Scotland to follow two new love stories. It stars Hermione Corfield (A Million Days, The Road Dance), Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, War Horse), Harriet Slater (Pennyworth, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) and Jamie Roy (Condor’s Nest, Your Boyfriend is Mine).

Matthew B. Roberts serves as showrunner and executive producer of the new series, with Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis and Jim Kohlberg also serving as executive producers.
