Netflix Begins Filming The Map of Longing

Netflix has begun filming the limited series The Map of Longing, based on the novel of the same name by Spanish writer Alice Kellen.

The series will center on Greta, who claims she was born with the purpose of saving her sister Lucy, sick with leukemia, through her stem cells. Greta is left with a deep existential void when Lucy passes, but before she dies, Lucy creates a game that challenges her sister to face her grief and discover her own path.

Alícia Falcó (Eighteen, The Atomic Shelter), Pablo Álvarez (Memento Mori, The Favourite) and Georgina Amorós (Second Death, All the Times We Fell in Love) star, alongside Laia Marull (Black Earth, Innocence), Mario de la Rosa (Money Heist, Welcome to Eden) and Ramón Barea (Four Walls, Everybody Knows).

The Map of Longing is being directed by Laura M. Campos and Gemma Ferraté and written by Isa Sánchez. It is being produced by Brutal Media, with Arlette Peyret and Raimon Masllorens serving as executive producers.
