Eleventh Hour Films and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) have inked a tripartite first-look deal with Tobi Olujinmi’s Black woman-led scripted television label Hill 5.14.

Hill 5.14 was launched in late 2022 by Olujinmi, a creative producer and former development producer at Eleventh Hour Films. The new deal will further build Hill 5.14’s profile and broaden its reach, giving Eleventh Hour the first-look option to co-develop and co-produce television projects on the Hill 5.14 slate, with SPT acting as distributor.

Olujinmi, founder and executive producer for Hill 5.14, said, “I am beyond thrilled to be working with SPT and Eleventh Hour for the next phase of Hill 5.14’s journey. It’s the dream team. Their joint expertise, experience and track record of delivering exceptional drama will help in building Hill 5.14 as a global production company. One which houses some of the best global diverse storytellers and takes our stories which were once hidden and places them like a light on a hill for the global marketplace”.

Paula Cuddy, co-CEO and creative director of Eleventh Hour Films, and Eve Gutierrez, co-CEO and executive producer, commented, “From the moment we met Tobi, we loved her dynamic outlook, enterprise, and creative sensibilities. Instinctively, we knew she’d do all she could as a producer to make things happen, and, as a co-producer, EHF is delighted to continue the journey with Tobi as she leads Hill 5.14 onwards into this exciting chapter.”

Matthew Justice, executive VP and head of U.K. and Europe, Sony Pictures Television, said, “Telling stories which have the capacity to open eyes, showcase talent and connect with audiences the world over is what we love at Sony Pictures, and Tobi has built a company in Hill 5.14 which has quickly become a home for great talent. We look forward to seeing what she and her team produce working alongside the estimable talents of our own Eleventh Hour and hope this to be the beginning of a fantastic and exciting collaboration.”
