Blink49 Studios has signed a multiyear first-look executive producer deal with TV industry veteran Pancho Mansfield.

Prior to partnering with Blink49 Studios, Mansfield served as president of global scripted programming for television at Entertainment One (eOne). The move reunites Mansfield with former eOne colleagues John Morayniss, Blink49’s CEO, and Carolyn Newman, executive VP of global scripted television. The deal will see Mansfield collaborating closely with Newman to develop and produce new original projects, including a problem-solving procedural with writer and producer Andrew Miller (Percy Jackson and the Olympians).

At eOne, Mansfield oversaw all aspects of the studio’s original scripted slate on a global scale and managed development and production efforts across eOne’s territories. Shows produced during his tenure include the adaptation of Amor Towles’ A Gentleman in Moscow, the survival drama Yellowjackets, the psychological thriller Sharp Objects, the long-running hit series The Rookie and spin-off The Rookie: Feds. Previously, Mansfield headed his own shingle under a first-look deal with Fox TV Studios, where he set up and produced projects across multiple networks, including Queen of the South and Damien.

“I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Pancho again,” said Newman. “He’s a world-class producer with exceptional taste and connections. We are lucky to have him on board.”

Mansfield commented: “I’m delighted to team up again with John and Carolyn. We did a lot of great work together at eOne and had a successful run. I’m really looking forward to this new chapter and the opportunity to collaborate on more compelling projects.”
