Honour & Trap to Get English-Language Remakes

Starlings Television has inked a deal with Eccho Rights to develop English-language versions of the Swedish drama Honour (Heder) and Trap from South Korea.

Honour follows four female lawyers and their fight for justice for other women while supporting each other inside and outside of the courtroom—including when it comes to their own dark secret. The series, which premiered on Viaplay in August, was created by Sofia Helin, Alexandra Rapaport, Julia Dufvenius and Anja Lundqvist and is produced by Stockholm-based Bigster. Rapaport, Dufvenius and Lundqvist also star.

A collaboration between director Shin-woo Park (White Night) and drama writer Sang-wook Nam (Ten), Trap centers on a retired news anchor who finds his son’s lifeless body in the woods while on a family vacation. In an effort to get answers and exact justice, he teams up with a veteran detective and a brilliant profiler, ultimately infiltrating a powerful cannibalistic organization that takes innocent lives for pleasure.
