Script Angel Appoints Jane Dauncey Director of Development

The BAFTA-winning producer Jane Dauncey has been tapped to fill the newly created director of development role at Script Angel, the screenwriter-coaching and talent-development company founded by Hayley McKenzie.

In her new position, Dauncey will manage Script Angel’s expanding team of screenwriting coaches and the growing slate of writers under its guidance. Founder of the indie companies Machine Productions and Coracle Productions, Dauncey has produced or series produced such dramas as The LevelThe Trials of Jimmy Rose, Law & Order, Casualty, The Story of Tracy Beaker and Stella. Over the course of her career, she’s also held roles at the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Kudos, Hillbilly Films, Fiction Factory, Tidy Productions, CBBC and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

McKenzie said: “As the demand for narrative content grows worldwide, Script Angel is perfectly positioned to provide the international film and television industry with the next generation of content creators and storytellers. Jane’s proven track record as an award-winning creative producer will help us to scale our offering of writer-development programs to the global content-creation industry.”
