Magnum P.I. & FBI Score Second Season Renewals

CBS has renewed three freshman series for the 2019-20 season, including Magnum P.I. and FBI.

FBI, from Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, is a top 10 series and CBS’s number one new show, averaging almost 13 million viewers each week. Magnum P.I. has improved its Monday 9:00 p.m. time slot by 32 percent.

The network also renewed the comedy The Neighborhood, which stars Cedric the Entertainer and Tichina Arnold.

“Each of these distinctive shows has made their mark in a variety of ways,” said Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment. “Our goals this season were to introduce new series that audiences are passionate about, add more strength to a winning schedule and create more inclusive programming.”

Thom Sherman, senior executive VP of programming, added, “We’re thrilled by the creative direction and performance of these three shows as they continue to grow in popularity and resonate with the network’s viewers.”
