TV2 Norway Acquires Australian Soap

SYDNEY, July 17: Southern
Star International has completed a deal with TV2 Norway for the drama series Out
of the Blue.

Out of the Blue, set in Manly, Australia, tells the story of a murder during a high-school
reunion. Friendships are challenged and loyalties are formed as police try to
solve the crime.

Recently, AB Droits in
France, RTE in Ireland, SBS in the Netherlands and VTM in Belgium also picked
up the half-hour drama, which is produced by Southern Star Entertainment and
the BBC.

John Ranelagh, the head of
acquisitions for TV2 Norway, said: “We are very excited to be acquiring this
new Australian soap and believe it will share the same success that Home and
Away has received in Norway as
well as generating the results that our advertisers seek.”
