TV Land Slates Summer Premieres

LOS ANGELES: Three original reality series lead off TV Land’s summer schedule, including one from Mark Burnett, alongside the launch of Roseanne and a host of films set to join the Friday night PRIME Movie block.

The network’s summer schedule kicks off on June 5 with a week-long launch event of the classic sitcom Roseanne, starring Roseanne Barr. On June 11, a new season of the hit She’s Got the Look, a modeling competition for women over the age of 35, gets under way. On July 19, TV Land will air a special presentation of the AFI Life Achievement Award, honoring actor Michael Douglas.

In August, two new original series will launch back-to-back. How’d You Get So Rich?, executive produced by Mark Burnett, features Joan Rivers on a tour of extravagant homes to introduce people who made a lot of money in interesting ways. The hidden-camera show Make My Day watches the actions of an unsuspecting participant as they experience weird coincidences, extraordinary situations and surprise celebrity appearances for one whole day. Both series will debut August 12, at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., respectively.

The channel’s signature Friday night PRIME Movie block will continue to air films all summer long. The movie lineup includes Born on the 4th July, Back to School, Driving Miss Daisy, Another 48 Hours and Doc Hollywood.
