TV Land Ramps Up Original Content

NEW YORK, March 18: TV
Land has greenlit four pilots as part of its ongoing original programming
agenda aimed to appeal specifically to viewers in their 40s.

First Love, Second
Chance
gives long-lost sweethearts
an opportunity to rekindle their romance years later. The one-hour series is
produced for TV Land by Granada America, with Paul Buccieri, Drew Hoegl and
Andrew Singer as the executive producers.

Now or Never watches empty nesters who are given the chance of a
lifetime to open a new chapter of their lives by pursuing careers they had
always dreamed of but never pursued. The show is produced by RDF USA, and Chris
Coelen, Charles Tremayne and Stef Wagstaffe serve as the executive producers.

The half-hour series Make
My Day
provides a window into one
day in the life of an unsuspecting participant, with hidden cameras capturing
the action as contestants are put through a series of weird coincidences and
extraordinary situations. The show is produced by Embassy Row, Monkey Kingdom
and Sony Pictures Television, while Michael Davies is the executive producer.

What's In The Box?, produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and
executive produced by Jon Murray, is
a half-hour game show where individual contestants face off in a fast-paced
20-question competition. The winner receives a cash jackpot and gets a chance
to take home a fabulous grand prize.

"This latest crop of
originals reflects the motivation of people in their 40s to tune-in to see
programming that is fun, upbeat, uplifting and entertaining and that most of
all—puts them first," commented Larry W. Jones, the president of TV
Land. "These shows are a perfect complement to our existing slate of
originals and continue to underscore our commitment to entertain this
underserved audience."
