NEW YORK: TVFormats.ws, the only website for the formats industry, is now live.

TV Formats has launched its online destination TVFormats.ws as a stand-alone, state-of-the-art website, dedicated exclusively to news, video, features, interviews and profiles about the format business.

Spun-off from the flagship WorldScreen.com, TVFormats.ws is the only website servicing the format industry. You can now access news under three targeted categories: Creation, about new formats on the market; Adaptation, detailing the latest sales and options; and Expansion, with announcements of partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. The home page features a video player that showcases clips of new formats and interviews with leaders from this rapidly expanding segment of the industry, along with a host of other resources.

A number of marquee sponsors are already in place, taking advantage of the premium ad space available on this new destination. These include MTV Networks International, Banijay International and La Presse Télé.

The relaunch of TVFormats.ws comes alongside the creation of TV Formats Weekly. Delivered to your inbox every Monday, this targeted newsletter supplies a wealth of information on all of the latest trends and developments in the formats business.

TVFormats.ws and TV Formats Weekly reaffirm our position as the leading provider of information for the format business," says Ricardo Guise, president and publisher of World Screen. "In addition to our magazines TV Formats and TV Formatos and the TV Formats Distributors Guide—the only ones of their kind in the industry—these two new services strengthen our abilities to serve this key segment of the global content market. They join our ever-growing portfolio of digital resources, which already includes nine newsletters and 22 genre- and region-focused websites and online communities, in addition to two video portals.”

Make TVFormats.ws your daily go-to for all the latest information on trends and headline-making stories in the format business.
