Turner India Takes New DQ Title

MUMBAI: Turner in India has picked up its third mythological animated feature from DQ Entertainment for broadcast next year on its local kids’ networks.

Turner’s pickup of Omkar follows its deals with DQE for Balkand and Ravan. "Indian animation is an integral part of our content mix and as the leading kids’ channels of the country, we have supported the sector consistently by offering homegrown animations a national platform," said Mark Eyers, the VP of content at Turner Entertainment Networks Asia. "We are delighted to add Omkar to our and the country’s largest Indian animation library, boasting of over 30 animated productions."

Omkar revolves around Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and their two sons, Kartikeya and Ganesha.
